Breckenridge 100
BWR had a strong showing for the 2008 edition of the Breckenridge 100 mountain bike race. Donnie Cole and Lenny Goodell raced the 100-miler, as did Matt Turgeon in the singlespeed category. Lyn Alter, Sue Grandjean, and Jeni Turgeon raced the 100-miles as a trio, and Doug Young raced the 68-mile version of the race (2 lap race). Big Wheel Racing needs Big Help to do the races and we would like to thank Rita Gonzales for working the pit and making sure the racers were taken care of. Rita always brings the good results to the team!
The team members were riding with their new King Cages and Ergon Grips and were kept hydrated with their Nuun tabs. In addition the team appreciates the support from High Desert Cycles and Specialized as the team members were wearing and riding many, many items obtained through the help of the awesome sponsors.

…and I rode the trails grinning from ear to ear thanks to a well-crafted smile recreated by my favorite cosmetic dentist and sponsor, Dr. James Slaman!!
